Development and production of alternative fuels
The University of Idaho continues to impact the development and production of alternative fuels. On Wednesday, Idaho plant breeder Jack Brown and Gibraltar-based Eco-Energy Ltd. announced a research project to develop high-value oilseed crops worldwide for alternative fuel production. The agreement brings $2 million in research funding to the University during the next five years.

As the country prepares to celebrate Earth Day, students at the Basin, Meridian and Idaho Falls School Districts will be breathing easier, thanks to a $250,000 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) “Clean School Bus USA” grant.
