Bridging the Biodiesel Gap

Location: California

The City College of San Francisco will work with distributors and trucking companies in San Francisco to promote the use of biodiesel fuel in the local trucking sector. This public-private partnership will draw expertise and resources from local and federal governments, academia, petroleum distributors and technical consultants. The project focuses on developing curriculum for distributors, mechanics and drivers. Eight pilot fleets will use biodiesel blends and their emissions will be monitored. The results will be integrated into outreach and education efforts.
