Congressional

The goal of the Collaborative is to leverage significant federal
funds to reduce emissions from the most polluting diesel sources
in the most affected communities. Despite the fact that the Collaborative
did not exist when EPA was estimating its Fiscal Year 2005 (FY05)*
budget, EPA dedicated over $1.5 million in discretionary funds towards
the Collaborative. In FY06, however, the Collaborative received
$3 million in the official EPA budget though a $5 million appropriation
to the National Clean Diesel Initiative.

For more information about the President’s Proposed FY06 Budget
and relevant Congressional activities, please see the links below:

* FY05 began October 1, 2004 and ended September 30, 2005.
